Deleting category from picture location

I have created an identical folder (Scanned Documents) in Pictures,
placed an image in it and now the rogue folder (Scanned Documents)
displays that image and has this path: C:\Users\Emrys Davies\My
Pictures\Scanned Documents (1) the latter being the folder which I
recreated. When I r.c. the rogue folders path and select Properties then
Security I cannot see anything like you describe re- permissions. Would
you be more explicit re- that? What exactly am I to do as this is
totally new ground for me?
Navigate to the folder in Windows Explorer, r-click on the folder,
select Properties, select Security, now on the Securities tab there is
an area labeled "Group or user names", below that it says To change
"Permissions click edit". So select "WMPNetworkSvc" and click Edit......

When I get to 'To change permissions' and c. Edit I see nothing about
'WMPNetworkSvs'.

What do you see in the box labeled "Group or user names"? Read all the
entries.

No, in the box above that labeled "Group or user names", where you have
"System" selected, you need to select "WMPNetworkSvc" instead.

The only entry above Group or User names is:
C:\Users\Emrys Davies\Pictures\Scanned Documents

The only entries below Group or User names, other than what I have already
copied, are:

Emrys Davies (EmrysDavies-PC\Emrys Davies)
Administrators (EmrysDavies-PC\Administrators)

You say select "WMPNetworkSvc". Do you mean delete something and replace
it with "WMPNetworkSvc" If so, delete what? What effect on what will that
have?

Since that "Username" isn't appearing, things seem a little odd. As you
wish to remove that folder from the "Desktop Background" listing and
eventually delete it as well, first make sure you are the owner, see
Advanced button, Owner tab. If you are Owner, select Permissions tab and
then remove all permissions including inheritable ones. The listing
should disappear "Desktop Background". I can't say that a reboot won't
be required but without permissions the listing should no longer show up
in the listing. In order to delete the folder you need to give the Emrys
Davies (EmrysDavies-PC\Emrys Davies) account full permissions on the folder.

Too many uncertainties here for me now. As I have said, the 'rogue' folder
will receive and display images perfectly, but its name will not be in
keeping with its contents. It is a
piece of furniture which I will have to come to terms with and I will do
just that. Thanks a lot for your help and patience.

Ok, as long as you are satisfied with the current situation.
