Hi

With Windows Mail, I could go up to edit, then select all and all
email from the inbox would be highlighted and sent to the deleted
items folder. Not so with Windows Live Mail 2011 or am I missing
something after an extensive interface search?

Thanks

Do yourself a big favor and get Mozilla's Thunderbird. It's a much
better news/email client, and much more configurable and extensible.

IYO. Personally, I didn't care for Thunderbird at all.

I have been using Thunderbird since 1.5 and it certainly doesn't do me
any favors. Some of the things that bug me are:

- No show replies to my posts (CTRL-H)
- Header view doesn't update highlighted one while moving through messages
- Global filters never worked
- F, B, N, and P keys are stupid for jumping from one message to
another. Arrow keys has been around for 30 years now, why not use them?
- Can't view any messages while it is downloading headers
- No sorting for subscribed newsgroups (folder pane)
- Abbreviates newsgroups which is hard to tell which is which
- Marking a post with a star is very hard to see the star
- No global signature, must set it up for every sever
- Offline you can download none or all, no other options
- Terrible on 800x480 screens (especially in editing)

Agreed.

Actually, it contracts them, and this is determined by folder pane
resizing/width. Easy fix...
- Marking a post with a star is very hard to see the star
Depends on the theme I susppose. I'm using Nuvola which looks
somewhat like the Noia theme I used to use (but the author apparently
isn't supporting any longer), but the "starred" threads are very easy
to see.

I have to ask 'why' is someone using a news/email client at that
resolution these days anyway? This is 2011...
