Windows Live Mail 2011

With Windows Mail, I could go up to edit, then select all and all email from
the inbox would be highlighted and sent to the deleted items folder. Not so
with Windows Live Mail 2011 or am I missing something after an extensive
interface search?

Please, please, pretty please don't use it for posting to newsgroups.
Its quoting style is severely broken, and it messes up every thread
it touches.

The "highlight email, edit, select all and move" feature that you mention is
actually a list of separate steps. Here are two ways of doing what you are
asking.

1)Click on one of your emails in your Inbox. Press the Alt key (don't hold
it down). The File Menu should appear at the top. Click Edit, then when
the menu drops down select "Select All", then press your delete key. If you
want to move them all, just drag them to the folder of your choice after you
have them all selected.

Option 2) Click one of your emails. Press Ctrl (hold it) then press the A
key. Release both keys. At this point, all the emails in that folder
should be selected. Press the delete key.

The Ctrl+A is generic, and will work to "Select All" in almost any file or
group listing, as long as your focus is on/in the group to begin with. You
can't have the focus 'on' the Inbox Folder, it must be 'on' one of the
messages in it. That is why you start each step by clicking one of the
messages, it makes sure the focus is in the right place.

Please get rid of it. Yes, I am serious. Its quoting style is
severely broken, and many posters will simply put you in their kill
files because reading the output of WLM 15 (Windows Like Mail 2011)
is so annoying.

There is no such thing as: Windows Like Mail 2011. Did you mean:
Windows Live Mail 2011? If not please clarify. Thunderbird (which I
use - version 2) comes little short of Windows Like Mail but Microsoft
is Microsoft and Mozilla is Mozilla. The two are too proud to be
compared with each other.

Outlook (hence Word) 2007 does limited context checking, but I doubt it
will correct our worst clangers

But "Windows Live Mail" and "Windows Like Mail" are both
ungrammatical. Microsoft Word passes the first and rejects the
second, but I suspect that's because Word's checker comes preloaded
with the names of Microsoft products.

Does anyone know of a neutral (third-party) grammar checker that
allows "Windows Live Mail" but rejects "Windows Like Mail"?

Word 2003 picked 2 spelling (chequer and marques), and 7 grammar, mostly
caps and misplaced commas. OE found the same two spelling errors. Butt watt

Mutch is not recognized by Dialog's spellchecker, the Merriam-Webster
Collegiate Dictionary on my Android phone, nor my American Heritage
paper dictionary. It *is* in my Random House Webster's Unabridged paper
dictionary, and it's available in my desktop gadget dictionaries, both
of which seem to use Dictionary.com.

It's some kind of hat or cap from olden times.

All of this for a fairly weak joke!
