Is that what you think servers are for? Heck, you don't need a server to
share a printer...that would be a real waste of money. You can share a
printer through another computer, wi-fi or Ethernet, but you certainly
don't need a server to do it.
I'm running Windows Home Server for all of my home computers and don't
share my printers through it. All of my files, pics, doc's, etc., are
stored on the server and synced on all computers. All computers are
backed up everyday between 9-11AM. I can even "cloud compute' as my
server is available remotely from anywhere in the world. If that is what
I'm doing at home, I'm sure large companies running servers are doing
even much more.
Goody, goody - so you're serving all your files to your home computers.
Now, about that 'real work'.
