Im a little lost....I downloaded and extracted the files...there are 3 files in there, I'm attaching a Screenshot of the folder...not really sure what to do with them after that. I'm not seeing instructions. Also update the card's bios to newest too:
http://www.siliconimage.com/support/...?pid=32&cat=15
Follow the instructions for BASE (IDE, non-RAID) version of the BIOS. It explains.
(3rd one down: "*Sil3132 BASE, SATARAID5 and system BIOS")
You can use the properties in the device manager to update this.
Good job, especially considering I forgot to put the /drivers folder in my previous post.I re-did the
and am attaching a screenshot of them all showing 10/2007 as the updated date.
I really really really appreciate all of your help, Im just getting a little frustrated with myself, as it seems I'm doing something wrong.
Open the device manager. Double click the Storage controllers section. Then double click the Silicon Image entry. Go to Flash BIOS tab. Click browse then navigate to the folder you extracted to.Im a little lost....I downloaded and extracted the files...there are 3 files in there, I'm attaching a Screenshot of the folder...not really sure what to do with them after that. I'm not seeing instructions.
Again, I honestly apologize.
If you have further crashes after updating the card's bios, test the memory overnight with Memtest86+.I just want to point something out...
I've been Idle and on the internet for over 30 mins now, no BSOD.
Seems to only BSOD now when I am running the World of Warcraft launcher, downloader.
In case you aren't familiar with WoW, I am not actually playing the game, it's just updating current content and putting in in the game files.
Would this point to a memory issue?
I assume that you mean to make a new folder named "SI"...I did that, and put the files in there...Extract this download to C:\SI
