Sounds to me suspiciously like VUNDO - a tricky one to get rid of unless you
have paid for a decent virus protection suite. Took me well over a week to
get rid of the bloomin thing. It has been detected several times on my new
PC but not managed to install itself. No free thing on the web (there are
plenty) gets rid of it - I tried loads of them. If you do pay for a virus
suite, get on to the site and look it up, you will be able to download a
procedure which will work.
