Hi, now I am really frustrated. Starting my pc this morning, the windowHallo NG!
I have a self-written pretty simple program under vb5 that always causes
UAC to pop up when started. I have several other (vb5-)programs that do
not activate UAC. Deactivating UAC lets start the questioned program
without any hassle. Is it possible to deactivate UAC exclusively for a
program? I do not mean 'Start as Admin' because the program needs to
start from startup folder with system start.

of the program in question popped up like a charm. I can't remember for
sure
what I did last yesterday night and now I have to find out which instance
of the exe was executed (from startup folder or task scheduler). But
that is easy. Anyway it seems to work now for reasons I have to investigate
further.
Thanks to all of you!
