I understand but was hoping for a short(?) list:))
He gave you a "short list", don't auto-start Quicken.
(sorry, just trying to be funny)

Is it the logon tab and do I simply uncheck whatever
I don't want starting up with the computer?
For the subject discussed (Start up programs), this tag should be enough.
However, I would advise against deleting any entry (as opposed to
un-checking it) unless you are absolutely sure about what the entry is and
you will never use it.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Other than the Start up folder in All Programs in the Start menu, where
else can
I find the programs that are launched when the computer boots up? The
Start Up
folder only shows two and I know there are more, some of which I'd like to
diable from automatic start up. Thanks.
Msconfig has a start up category.
