SP1 installed or not?

Which is exactly the old slow method I alluded to...

But Bob I has an even quicker method. The only disadvantage is that I
have to remember it :)

But in any case, saving a second or two every time I need to look at the
panel will add 9 seconds to my life.
Sounds like for a long life, you just need to look at it once a
minute!!<GDnR>

In my view the evidence is that it did *not* install.
Well, I've just installed it again, and confirmed it has installed with
winver. And I've got the extended boot time again that I got first time
round (which led to me using Autoruns and screwing up). That suggests to
me it did install, even if it didn't remove previous restore points for
some reason.

Practice a few times every day, and in just a few short months it
will become second nature. :)

Seriously, some are keyboard folks and some are mousers. I personally
would never open Explorer in any way than by WinKey+E, but I've
learned that it's much quicker to tell customers to open "My
Computer".

Give the boot file defragger/optimizer a few days to work on the new
configuration before passing judgement.

Only a few months? Great! But you might be overestimating my IQ...

Which reminds me - I don't know how to open my computer.

I want to put a different hard drive into it.

It's an all-in-one desktop (Sony Vaio), and Google has not helped me.
OTOH, the warranty is long expired, so I guess I could just mess with it
:)
