What a loon that one is, but you'll find Linux lunatics out there thatHow nice to know that it was malice and not the apparent stupidity

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
What could you do with FIVE MEGABYTES?
I was thinking removing FF. After installing FF4 I cannot see multipleThis question has doubtlessly been asked before, but please bear with me.
The time it takes when Windows Update downloads and installs updates to
IE9 is rather annoying, since I do not use it anyway. My web browser is
Firefox.
The answer is probably just to uninstall IE9, but how do I go about that
please? I have Googled quite a lot, but the solutions all seem to involve
installing an earlier version. I don't want any versions of Internet
Explorer.
Surely this is easy, and I am missing something obvious, but what is it?
Thanks.

European Council won against Microsoft and MS cannot tie those 2 apps to
the OS with their versions being distributed and sold in Europe under
the N version.
That's what shortcuts are for. IE calls them favorites.I was thinking removing FF. After installing FF4 I cannot see multiple

to use a different one.

Are you asserting that IE is no longer integrated into the OS in win 7?LOL! So what? That is really funny. I'll bet you'll walk into a wall.
Someone told you the wall was there prior to you walking into the wall.
You said "so what?" before you hit wall.

I don't understand why MS is making IE a part of the OS. I don't like it
taking up space which could be used for something efficient.
I think you're being too generous. Newegg frequently sells 1TB drivesTaking up space? It's a *tiny* amount of space. You are worried about
peanuts.
IE takes up 731KB of disk space here. At today's hard drive prices,
when you can buy a 500GB drive for about $50 US (or even less), the
value of that 731KB is less than one-hundredth of a penny.
I take back what I said above. You are not worried about peanuts. Even
a single peanut is worth more than that 731KB.
At this point I am wondering if you are being purposely dense. TheHoneyMonster said:Thanks for the reply, but I'm afraid I don't follow. Why should I be
happy I am getting updates to a program I neither need nor use?
The person is a Linux troll. At this point I am wondering if you are being purposely dense. The
answer has been provided several times but I'll try and explain it
differently.
Internet Explorer is not a "program" in the sense that you can just
uninstall it if you have no use for it. The core functions of IE are
an integral part and used by the Windows operating system for many
different things such as navigation within the folder systems and such.
If you try to remove IE completely from the OS you will also cripple
the system so badly it will become unusable.
Remove the icons to IE and set up your system for Automatic Updates
late at night so you won't have to look at it getting updated.
