I was being overgenerous, but I think you reinforce my point. It isMinutes? And a FEW of them? Took me maybe 20 seconds to click Find,
enter "James Silverton", quickly check the search options were only for
the current group (the default), and click a few times (mostly to get
out of this thread) to find the OP's old thread. That's why I suspect
it wasn't tedium but of not trying at all.
That was the little effort it took in my newsreader (40tude Dialog).
Are searches harder to perform in Thunderbird, the OP's newsreader?
better for the person posting to take the slight time of posting to
the right thread, than to start a new one and leave hundreds or
thousands of readers to try to figure out what he's talking about.
