To upload pictures to this thread use the "Post Reply" button above and to the left of the quick reply window, it will open up a more detailed window with a paperclip "add attachments" option.

It is possible a program file has become corrupted. Is this the Windows Picture Viewer or 3rd party software? If this is 3rd party software then try reinstalling; if it is Windows then try running your system restore disc.

Well, then that's a problem with Picture Viwer... Let us think a bit...
Are you sure there aren't any restore points? And you didn't make any changes to the system?

Um... When did the problem arise? Was it after Patch Tuesday?

Also known as Black Tuesday. It's the 2nd Tuesday of the month when Microsoft release System Updates.

After that date means it could be part or all of the problem.

Another question for you. Did you install any other photo program that might have taken over as the default viewer?

Have you tried the system restore disc I mentioned?

When W7 first was installed (or started up, if preinstalled) it asks you to create a system restore disc, this is not the same as the original install DVD. If you put this disc into the computer and reboot allowing system restoration it may very well repair it, if it is in fact a system file that is not working properly.
