Setting up filters should take care of what you want. Create new
folders dedicated to your different e-mail addresses and then create
filters to have the messages routed to those folders. Even OE could do
that, although admittedly I have not used WLM so I don't know for sure
if that functionality is there.
I'll look at the filters in WLM and see if that will work. I never had to
do that before.

That will work in WLM just like it did in OE. In fact, IIRC, if Valorie
had any rules written to perform that in WM or OE, those rules could have
been exported and imported into WLM.
In OE and WM no filters were needed to direct all email messages into one
box - at least on the PCs I had. All the sent messages and deleted messages
went in to the same boxes also.

Hi Tom,

I have no desire to argue whether WLM is a newsreader or not since I've
really never used it. I was a user of OE for NNTP for many years
before I discovered Xananews and shortly after I started using it I saw
there were many useful tools that were not available in OE. The mere
fact that you must use OE-Quotefix to fix broken quoting, strip
signatures or even to bottom-post should signal that not much effort
was put into its development. It was merely an adequate newsreader.
As far as WLM is concerned, I cannot categorically reject it as a
newsreader since I don't have any experience with it, but I do know
that what most Usenet veterans consider *real* newsreaders will make OE
or WLM pale in comparison where it comes to the various tools and
abilities those other programs possess. Once you get used to article
scoring or filter usage or even the vast amount of viewing options that
*real* newsreaders have you just can't go back. Once again, I will
compare it to the difference between Notepad and Word or even Spam and
Rib Eye Steak.
I never ran into the broken quoting until recent years; don't know why it
hasn't always shown up as a problem since I've used OE for a very long time
(at least from Win98/IE4 or 5 through now). I start up OE-QuoteFix only when
replying to a post that has that problem; otherwise, I don't need it.
I've used Xnews in the past, and Eudora for email, but with the advent of
OE, I didn't see a real need for them any more. I prefer the combo programs
although I know others don't. I've tried a few others between XP and Win7
and settled on WLM as the most comfortable. It works well for me, so I guess
that's what counts for everyone :) I don't know of anyone who willingly
uses a program they hate unless they are gluttons for punishment, or just
thrive on adversity.
It's always good to agree to disagree. Makes the world go 'round :)

How do you justify stating categorically that WLM is not a
newsreader if you've never used it :) No answer necessary, it's
just a rhetorical question.
Answered anyway, WLM is a newsreader as is Windows Mail and Outlook
Express. They're VERY BAD newsreaders that make little attempt to
comply with GNKSA standards and don't allow adequate filtering to be
useful in most newsgroups but they ARE newsreaders as is a Yugo with a
blown engine an automobile, unusable but still an automobile.

NOTE: OE, Windows Mail and WLM users should be aware that many savvy
Usenet readers automatically killfile them so asking for help with such
a 'newsreader' is like asking for help using Google Groups (also
killfiled by many, see link in my signature for more info) your message
may not reach those who can help you.

It would be helpful if you would also killfile them too.

But many of us don't want to need all these extra features you mention. :)
Some people love to tweak and manipulate their software and others hate it.
I found Xananews one of the most complicated news readers we ever tried.

The ones who automatically killfile OE, WM, and WLM users must be very
shallow people, in which case I doubt they had much to offer anyhow. Do they
also killfile anyone using other newsreaders that fail the GNKSA standard?
Looks like some versions of Mozilla, Forte Agent, and XanaNews fall into the
same category. Just sayin'. . .

Just the reverse, they are killfiling clueless newbies who are too
shallow to realize the havoc they create in Usenet.

I keep 'em around for the entertainment value of stupid posts like
yours! <G>
