Unfortunately (maybe) we are getting forced into it. I was at Costco
the other day, and I noticed that maybe 80% of the computers they had
for sale came with Win7-64 installed.
I had thought that this was like W-7, you had no choice any more if you
wanted a ready set up machine. All the machines I have seen since last year
are 64 from the bargain door buster to the top of the line that the sales
guy always tries to tell you is really what you want. I had no idea there
were any 32 bit ones still being offered unless you have one built for you.

Cool! May I adopt it?
How about something along the lines of, you didn't really break it if
no one saw you do it.

There's a whole flow chart that walks through what happens when
something breaks. It's hilarious. :)

I still have an old DOS estimating program I wrote that uses dbase files
and clipper indexes. DOSBox is the only way to go to run DOS programs.
They run much faster under DOSBox than any other emulator I have tried.
Follow Nil's advice.

Kind of amazing, because my accounting system is *really* slow. I
can watch reports appear one line at a time -- I'm not talking
summaries, but something like a journal where it simply produces all
records in a certain range, min indexed order.

BTW, please post right side up. When you post upside down
particularly with your signature delimiter, it messes up quoting for
those who follow you.

FWIW anything that can/will be setup with 4GB memory will most likely
have 64bit.

Interesting. It was right-side up on my monitor.

That reminds me of what a cat does after falling off of something or
doing some other clumsy thing :)

Got a link or a Googlable phrase?
