RAMBUS lol right... ...probably 1/10 the performance of today's DDR3.
Yeah, but it was the fastest stuff around at the time. The Betamax of the RAM world.

I built it in October 2006.

Hello BillyB! Welcome to the Windows 7 Forums website! :ciao:

Be sure to let us know here when Santa leave on his yearly excursion Christmas Eve!

Here's a Christmas classic from a few decades ago!

I told him I wanted a SSD for Christmas! LOL!

Mine (look at the specs) is a year old, with a lot of upgrades (RAM, hard drive, mouse & keyboard). Looking for that special processor to upgrade my AMD Athlon X2 3250e. They are hard to find, at least for my MOBO.

My notebook is a 2005 Dell Latitude D610, which has been through hell and back, just purchased 2GB DDR2 (1GB x2) RAM, still runs like a champ, although normally at 70+C. It was running at 90+C, I took it apart (enough to replace the keyboard & RAM), and you wouldn't believe the dust that was packed in there (Nibs tried to tell me). I used two cans of air, and got most of it out. But she still runs warmer than normal.

Oh well, it still folds.

Nibiru2012, thanks for the welcome and I wouldn't mind an SSD under my tree either!

My desktop was put together in Nov 2007, and some minor components (mainly the GPU, in Nov 2008) were upgraded in the last 3 years. E6550, P35 Mobo, 2GB DDR2, GTX260, a few HDDs, etc.

My laptop was purchased in January 2008, and I've increased the RAM and swapped out the HDD for a larger one since then. T5450, 3GB RAM, 500GB HDD.

Both run XP Pro. I use W7 only at work.

The longest I've used a single computer was a PIII-500 MHz Dell with a 17"CRT and the original GeForce 256 that I used from Jan 2000 to Nov 2004...
