Getting the toolbar back in WE in W-7

I rarely use any menu items in WE (ha-ha). I think the only
one's are 'Map Network Drive' and 'Folder Options'.

It always killed me when a person would mark some files, go
all the way up to the Edit menu, click that, move down to
copy, click that. Then navigate to a different folder, go back
to the edit menu, click that, then select paste. Or to even
delete files.
Some of us who work with thousands of images for example, use those buttons
all the time. Who would want to rename 100s of images in a folder one at a
time? It would take hours. I do a "select all" and "rename" and I'm done
in seconds. We also need to show extensions, another problem if you don't
know the menu exists. I would guess no two people use their PCs for the
same thing.

Or go to the folder click inside,go to the edit menu, click,
move to select all, click that, then to the file menu, click
that, move to rename, click rename.

To delete, is it.... Ctrl-A Delete, or go to the folder click
inside,go to the edit menu, click, move to select all, click
that, then to the edit menu again, click that, move to delete,
click delete ?

and I'm done in
seconds. We also need to show extensions, another problem

Defaulting to NOT showing file extensions is the lamest
default Explorer setting ever.

I must admit I do read some threads when Valorie has posted just for my
own amusement. ;-)
I'm amused that everyone keeps referring to him as "her". I'll bet
dollars to donuts that it's a teenaged or near-teenaged boy.

I guess not since I'm not a PC technician. I'm only a PC user. Email.
Surf
the web. Work on some images..... ;-)
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<As I suspected, you did not read it.

Another piece of gold dust advice given to this person, and instantly
dismissed.

Thank you. That was the information I needed. :)
If you had typed Menu Bar in Windows Help, this entire thread would not have
been needed. So many of your usability issues could be solved by looking
for yourself. Help and Support is directly accessible from the Start Menu
for a reason.

When I did it I didn't get the desired results. Just info about
Internet Explorer's menu bar. But when I searched for "Windows Explorer
Menu Bar" this is what I got:

My friends are not MS engineers and technicians. That's the jargon we use
and all I know.
That reply is 100% non-responsive to the remark.

You say that as though it surprises you. :)
LOL.

The only thing that actually surprised me was that I bothered to reply
:)

And I'm still chuckling at your reply...

When I type 'menu bar' in Help and Support, it lists 30 items. The number
of items listed is probably user configurable, but anyway, the top 5 are:

1)Show or Hide the Menu Bar in Windows Media Player
2)Show the Menu Bar in Internet Explorer
3)Customize the Internet Explorer Tool Bars
4)Using Menus, Buttons, Bars, and Boxes
5)Show the Menu Bar in Windows Explorer

Clicking option 5 takes me to exactly what your screenshot shows.

And a responsive reply would be what exactly?
A responsive reply is, by definition, a reply that addresses the issues
raised in the remark or question that it purports to be a reply to.
