No, you don't; you go to the BIOS and set the SATA parameter to IDE/LegacyDon't you need to load a SATA driver from another disc to install XP on
a system with SATA drives?
or something like that. You need drivers if you want to install XP with
SATA set to AHCI or RAID.
Some people have manage to install the driver later after the Windows
installation with Intel chipset but it's a complicated hack.
