I don't know that this is a keylogger but ...

do you use/like the toolbar Searchqu? It is a search engine toolbar and they often hijack your homepage and drive you to their search engine, etc. I hate all those dang Toolbars. It is important to watch the install screens and not accept every toolbar and free scan POS they offer when you try programs downloaded from the internet.. You can check Control Panel > Programs and Features and if Searchqu is there then uninstall it (but I doubt it will be). So, if not, open windows explorer and go to C:\program files (x86)\ Under that select the folder that starts with "search" and under that Datamngr now start looking for a file called uninstall (you may have to go another level under TOOLBAR). If there is an uninstall program, run it.

If not, then HERE is a guide to uninstalling it manually (but don't download anything from this site, scanners etc, because I don't trust any of their crap any more than I do SearchQU, it may be fine but why risk it)

You also have Google toolbar which, is a recognized search toolbar but, if you don't use it then delete that as well. Toolbars slow down your browser (usually by a thousandth of a second but still it adds up)

I go in to peoples homes and I see like 6 of these toolbars, they have no room left to even see a webpage and I'm thinking WTF, how do you live like this. So then I take their computer before they come home and call the police because people hate it when I break in their homes like that almost as much as I hate cleaning off all the toolbars before I pawn their computer. That last line was a joke just to make sure you're paying attention

I would also download and run SpyBot Search & Destroy (please read my notes in that thread before installing)

It was the line C:\Windows\SysWOW64\blank.htm. It indicates a keylogger called Tea Timer. May be a remnant of an infection previously removed, but I wouldn't count on it.

Just did another spy bot scan found 12 more then did another and i'm clean now.
Immunized all... i will get the full version of spybot i think its great.

Hmm i am uploading however its saying two thousand plus minutes to upload on youtube and sits on 0% for a long time on FB could this be a format problem?
Speedtest.net indicates 0.32 Mbps upload is this why so slow? I mean 2500 minutes to upload 2Gb movie 30 seconds or so long seems ridiculous.Tryed to send on Email and same prob?

Ok went into manualy do it and found searchq is there twice and both disabled. Yes to ISP checking line my upload is what i should expect so i am told. I spoke to a friend and he says his upload is same as mine and he has no probs uploading so it may just be that i am uploading from windows media player whatever that format is. Thankyou.

Even if it is gone the entries still exist in your registry. I got it from the hijackthis log above.

I suggest you download and install CCleaner and then run the second feature to clean your registry of broken/missing links. When it asks if it should create a backup first, always say yes and store it (just in case).


And then Reboot your computer and after restart run Hijackthis again.

That blank.htm seems perfectly normal from what I can find (it is located in syswow for 64bit OS users and system32 for 32bit users)

I find this rather disturbing:

If it were me, I would create a restore point, then run hijackthis and check the 3 things I listed above and tell hijackthis to "fix this".
