Lets drop back to your original argument, before it looks like I disagree with you. You are correct and if you look back to my next comment, I think you will see that I am admitting to not knowing it all. If someone doesn't make mistakes, I'd be willing to bet they are not trying. I'm gonna chalk this one off as inexperience and wanting to understand. Personally though, I still feel as if true testing should not be done in a virtual environment. Though I imagine it would save time, if the majority of testing was done in a virtual environment.Ah, but that depends on the type of testing one is doing. For example, the backup test I described is a valid test in a VM environment (but of course requires restoring backup of a 64 bit system image to a 64 bit VM).
