Good Evening Folks:
I have been attempting to reinstall Windows 7 from a 5 year old disk without any luck. I get a partial installation with limited functions. The message I get is that I need to update my browser which is to be expected. However when I click the link I get another message telling me that I can only have one instance of wusa.exe running at a time. I have logged in to the wusa instruction page but the codes available will only allow me to remove updates. Therefore, I can't load the installer for an upgrade to IE 10. I even, reluctantly, tried to upgrade to Windows 10 but, of course, the old installer won't handle it. If anyone knows how to get around this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
Merry Christmas!
