Hi everyone,

This is my first time here. I'm having a problem with my workstation service.
The service won't start, so the services depending on workstation won't start neither. I get error 1068, but the network store interface service is started.
I've tried to run sfc /scannow, but there are no problems there.

I'm running win 7 64bit

Can anyone advice me what to do?

Thanks for your reply. I can't run the fix it file because its for xp, so i tried the manual solution. All of the services in the manual solution are enabled.

The workstation service depends on the network store interface service, but that one is already started. However, the workstation service also depends on SMB mini-redirector (1.x and 2.0) and the browser support driver.

The problem is that I don't know how to verify wheter these are working or not.

Any idea?

A reinstall usually fixes most things. Just out of interest what do you think may have caused the workstation service to stop?

Installing software?

I'm sorry that I could'nt have been more help.

I have no idea. I upgraided to win 7 64bit from xp 32 bit. Maybe something went wrong during the installation. It could have been a trojan, but my norton 360 usually detects those things.

I did install Advanced system care (cleans up your pc), but that's running on other win 7 pc's as well without causing any problems.

Luckily I didn't have to reinstall my software, because I didn't need a clean install.
A new upgrade did the job.

thanks anyway
