WLM attachments and deleting

Ever since OE came out, I've always had the question, how the heck do you
really delete a file using the message rules?
All that seems to do is to place the message in the delete folder where I
still have to manually delete it. If I have to manually delete it, why am I
bothering to put in another folder?

There is a spammer out now sending emails through the nyc.gov addy.
It appears to be a traffic citation thing. With no details. Like your name
and that. But always includes a zip file. As always, I just delete the damn
things. You don't get traffic tickets through email. Ever.

Just out of curiosity, I wanted to save the attachment and have my firewall
check the contents for a virus. Lo and behold, the damn thing won't save.
Even though the size of the file shows as 13.0kb, I get a message saying I
don't have enough disk space.

Well gee, then I guess I can't pay the ticket because I can't access the
form. I know it's not the way I'm doing it because I have saved other
attachments with no problem.

BTW, for those of you getting this thing, I checked it out thoroughly.
The source is from Viet Nam or South Korea.
Even though the return path is nyc.gov. The IP given is nyc.gov.
The city named is chatham, ny. Their website states they are aware of this
scam and are investigating.
Meanwhile, nyc.gov is doing nothing to prevent the spammer from using their
system.

I don't use WLMail, but the rules work the same as OE. If you do not want
to receive mail from a specific address, use the action to Delete It From
Server.

In general:

Have all rules that Delete it from server first.

Rules that divert mail to folders next.

All others last.

Make sure that every rule also has Stop processing more rules checked,
unless that option is grayed out.

Well, it does mean you only have to empty it all at once from time to
time, rather than having to delete them one at a time individually. But
obviously a delete-fot-sure facility would have been better.
