This, for a change, isn't a plea for help - it's to help anyone who found, like I did yesterday, that Internet Explorer stops working.
I noticed this only happened AFTER I had installed a couple of Windows (Optional) Updates yesterday. The symptoms were the little Error Box saying: "Internet Explorer has stopped working. Please wait while Windows looks for a solution" (or something very similar).
The wheel goes round and round and, when you try and close the box, it just reappears again, ad infinitum. Only way to get rid of it is to close the IE window (that didn't open anyway!).
The Update at fault, I found, was: KB2670838 (something to do with Windows Platform). Having uninstalled that, and rebooted, IE then opened normally again.
Cheers everyone!
