Windows media player 12

Hi guys,
seem to have a problem with wmp12, I cannot get it to play some video clips
Xvid AVI. Have checked association and file is associated, have download a
codec that says it will play Xvid in wmp.
Would gratefully appreciate some advice please

Download the free player; it comes with the codec you need. It will
also play certain video clips that no other player will.
