Windows Live Mail problem

I am unable to open many email messages in WLM. I get the following error: "A problem occurred while trying to open this message. A problem has occurred. Please try again." If I try again, I get the same result.

I am also unable to delete many email messages. I get the following: "An unknown error has occurred." If I try again, I also get the same result here.
