Windows Fax and Scan Sizing

Hello! I’m scanning a small playing card using Windows Fax and Scan. While I’m familiar with the scanning process, I’m curious about potential quality loss. After previewing the scan I adjust the Four-Point Markers to eliminate excess white space around the card. My goal is to print these scans at their original size on regular paper (with multiple cards per sheet). Could this resizing process result in lossy digital images?
