I have always kept the choice to "Let Windows manage the space used for
backup history (limit 279.45 GB)". I guess that's System image and not
the same as backup files. My external hard drive has "11.5 MB free of
931 GB". I go to view backups and find almost 620 GB being used to store
10 different backup periods. Now I'll delete those, one at a time,
leaving only the 3 most recent periods. Now I'll be good for 6 or 7 months.
I thought I was leading up to an important question but I guess my only
question is why doesn't Windows have a choice to limit data file backup
space?
