Hi,

I purchased a Hp Mini laptop 110-1116NR.. It came with Windows 7 starter edition installed.. I am planning to upgrade to home edition but have questions.. My laptop has a recovery partition but I cant access it as it does not allow me to view the files.. So suppose If I upgrade to windows 7 home from DVD how do I get all my drivers from the recovery partition? Because Hp site does not have all..I just saw two drivers in their site.. Any Ideas? Please suggest..

Thanks...

When you upgrade and start checking for updates, Windows Update gives you many drivers, especially for newer devices. If you are upgrading, you can backup what you have, your drivers will be backed up, too. After the upgrade install, you can restore whatever you want from the backup.

It's best to get the drivers for your laptop from the computer maker's website.

That way you'll have the most up-to-date drivers. Windows driver updates are usually 3-8 months old.

Once you upgrade your recovery partition may not be of any use to you. Do you have recovery discs just in case?
