Windows 7 Packet Writer

Every time I try to get Windows 7 to treat a RW DVD "like a
floppy drive", it ruins the DVD. I've tried several brands
of DVD disks, but they always fail to be useful. Sometimes
W7 says that the "format was successful", but the disk can't
be written to, erased, or otherwise used.

So what did you do *exactly* ? Describe your steps in detail,
and at what stage you concluded the disc was "ruined".

The table in the second article, appears to be referring to UDF
when describing "Live File System" versions.

Lots of variables, and perhaps you could review your setup and
report back.
