Windows 7 Maximum Hardware Specifications for Notebooks

Microsoft are reported to be limiting the maximum specifications of some Windows 7 editions, primarily designed for low-end or netbook PCs:
  • Windows 7 Starter
  • Windows 7 Starter for Small Notebook PC
  • Windows 7 Home Basic For Small Notebook PCs (China only)
This means to use one of these editions, your netbook must not exceed the following specifications:
  • Screen size not to exceed 10.2"
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 250 GB HDD or 64 GB SDD
  • Single core processors that :
    • do not exceed 2 GHz frequency, and
    • have a CPU thermal design power that is less than or equal to 15 W, not including the graphics and chipset.

Thank you for the info.I was thinking to install Windows 7 on my lappy.These information will certainly come handy.
