Hey..

Unfortunately, you have a problem with your hard drive. (Wow, who did you send the pc for fixing to? Not so good lol.)

Let's get the machine in optimal operation anyhow for a minute here.

1) Uninstall Daemon Tools normally. Then use the installer/uninstaller to remove sptd.sys which is the worst driver under Windows 7 ever to cause bsod:

DuplexSecure - Downloads

You can install PowerISO for drive emulation. Emulation is free forever:

http://www.PowerISO.com

-----------

2) Update your old video card driver:
Code:
nvlddmkm nvlddmkm.sys Sun Sep 27 20:12:06 2009
NVIDIA

3) Update or uninstall your Pinnacle software to remove this ancient driver:
Code:
bender64 bender64.sys Mon Nov 27 05:13:48 2006
http://www.pinnaclesys.com/

4) Update your NVIDIA chipset/storage/lan driver by installing the latest nForce software for your motherboard. This is one of the drivers involved that desperately needs an update:

Code:
nvm62x64 nvm62x64.sys Fri Oct 17 17:01:06 2008
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_vista_win7_64bit_15.49.html

5) When done with all those updates, open an elevated command prompt. Type the following command then press enter. Follow the simple on screen directions:

chkdsk /r

-----------

If you follow all this precisely, things may be well. Please post a new crash dump after if it is necessary and we can have a look at things from there. Good luck with it.

In addition, I do not see any antivirus installed.

Please download and install MSE which is free.

Then also download and install Malwarebytes. This does not start with Windows and is used for a manual scan every so often. Run the program then update the definitions.

Scan the machine with it and let it remove everything it finds. Reboot.

I would disconnect the external hard drive for now while doing all the above things.

After some time, if there are no errors, you can reconnect it. If issues start right away, then you know the exact cause.

Anyhow, if you have any questions about the steps or run into any problems, please let me know.

i downloaded duplex secure and i installed and now i don't see it in my pc in order to use it and remove this sptd.sys file?
or it works all by itself? as soon as you install it?

also when i tried to update my pinnacle driver, it is telling me,that my driver is up to date?

Check C:\Windows\System32\drivers folder.

If sptd.sys is not there, everything is well. You don't have to worry any longer about this.
If it is there, run the program again so it removes it, then reboot. Check the folder to be sure.

also when i tried to update my pinnacle driver, it is telling me,that my driver is up to date?
Which exact hardware do you have from them? You can look in the device manager if you don't know.

actually i have chip set Nvidia GeForce 7025/Nforce 630a (integrated with the motherboard, Asrock N68-S)
and that is all i have, no graphic card and nothing from pinnacle.
If i uninstall pinnacle driver is it still going to work with no problems?

And i found the driver in C:\Windows\System32\drivers folder.
but this program duplex secure i don't see it at all in my PC after the installation, and i rebooted the PC as well?
can i delete it manually straight from the folder?

You'll want to use this precise version because it's the 64 bit uninstaller like your Windows is:

http://www.duplexsecure.com/download/SPTDinst-v172-x64.exe

I wouldn't delete it manually because there is a slight chance that the system will not boot then.

-----

Yes, install from the NVIDIA link to update your chipset drivers:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_vista_win7_64bit_15.49.html

-----

If you don't have any Pinnacle hardware, uninstall the Pinnacle software normally so that the driver is also removed.

The DuplexSecure is not a program. It's an installer/uninstaller for sptd.sys. You won't find it on the pc anywhere.

Is sptd.sys now gone from C:\Windows\System32\drivers or is it still there?

--------

In device manager, right click on the multimedia controller. Choose properties then details tab. Change the dropdown to say hardware ids. Then copy/paste the results below that to here. I'll show you which driver to install for that.

A: To remove SPTD, simply download SPTD setup file "SPTDinst-v172-x64.exe" for Windows XP/2003/Vista (64-bit) [689,648 bytes] and execute it.
In dialog that appears press "Uninstall" button and then SPTD will remove itself from your Windows installation.

It seems you do have Pinnacle hardware. I would leave the driver uninstalled for it now since there are no new ones.

When the system is working well for a few days, you can then install a driver for it. If crashes happen again after, you'd need to remove the hardware from the system permanently.

For now, if there are any new crashes, please post the crash dumps for them.

AVG is the worst antivirus ever on Windows 7 that causes bsod.

Install MSE instead.
