Windows 7 clears my desktop slideshow

Here's a strange one. This has happened at least 3 times in the last 4
months. I have the desktop slideshow pointing to a folder (directory)
that has has full copies (not shortcuts) of pictures I want to display
on my desktop background. I have it set for 1 hour change time. What
happens is that the check marks get cleared and the picture stays on the
last one and never change. I have to go in and re-check the ones I
want in the sequence. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or what? One
of the reasons for the separate directory is that these pics are
modified with an aspect ratio similar to my monitor. I also don't trust
Windows to somehow delete the directory or the files in the directory
.... after all, it did remove the check marks!

So what have you done 3 times in the last 4 months?
have you for example accessed your computer remotely?
have you used system restore?
or something else, you do have the answer to your own question

I have accessed my computer from another computer in the house using
LogMeIn.
I have never used system restore on this computer. What does that have
to do with it?
I know, when you use LogMeIn, you of course don't get the desktop pics.
I'll have to check if LogMeIn kills the desktop slideshow.

Yes do that.
I'm not familiar with logmein but other remote desktop program stop the
rotating desktops, so it's a good bet this does too
