windows 64 bit compatibility

My sister has just bought a new Dell Laptop. I noticed that it comes with the Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit O/S.

I'm just wondering if this will cause her grief as most if not all of her software is 32 bit ie
Office XP etc.

How easy is it to run these older apps on the new Windows 7

Windows 7 64Bit will run both 32 and 64 bit apps

She should have no problem at all. Nearly all 32 bit software will run on x64 OS. There are very few these days that are not compatible.

If she's not sure, she can go to the software maker's website to check compatibility.
