Let me preface this by saying that I'm I'm not very computer literate so any help needs to be worded simply like for a child..I have installed WIN 7 64 and it has developed a problem..It wont boot to the desk top. It will post and go to the starting Windows screen sometimes and stops there..It wont go to safe mode.Is there a way to make a boot disk to get it to start or any kind of a diagnostic disk that a dummy can do? I really need help...Thank you

Welcome to the fourms, clayp! I'm not exactly a pro myself, but I'll try to help. When you first loaded the program, did it work properly? If not, you may want to try reinstalling it. If it did work, you can boot off of your DVD and select Repair. There will be a time when files are loading, so it will take a couple of minutes. Try that and see what happens. Also, one other thing. Do you have a friend or anyone that you know running Windows 7? Perhaps that person could make a repair CD for you, and you could boot from it.

As Catilley says, one of the best repair tools is the Installation DVD.
But, a quick question. Not mentioned (clearly) in your post. It has "developed "a problem. So it did boot originally, but has since stopped, or has it never booted?
