win 32 repair disk work on 64 bit?

I downloaded a 32 bit win 7 repair disk iso and booted from it on my 64 bit to see if it had burned OK. It seems to work on the 64 bit? I cannot go to far in case i mess up my system but it was able to detect my installation. I am curious if it would repair my 64 bit if it were necessary
