Upgrade today also loaded pictures in Media Center...also it sounds as if the processor is constantly working..I am very new to this and dont know a lot of technical jargan.I just loaded 7 yesterday and it worked extremely well until i upgraded and started playing with Media Center..Thanks for any help....

It could be the indexing service is working in the background, as that would cause a considerable amount of hard drive activity for a short time. If you're not too technical, I would just wait a couple of days and see if this dies down once indexing is complete.
If this continues, you can use something like Process Monitor to diagnose what is going on in the background. However, I wouldn't worry about it or go to that extent yet
