standing of Wal-Mart, Best Buy and other commercial outlets were?

You'd have to consider Ebay as well, I don't know about volume but
there are several authorized sellers there and I've bought my last two
machines there for less than the Walmart, Best Buy price. You'd also
have to add Costco to the list, they sell a lot of computers!

You would have to have access to their sales data to find that out. I
doubt you could find it on Google, but you're welcome to look.
