Whenever I save a text file as .php it disappears

say I'm writing a code in a simple text editor, then I'm saving it (chosen 'all files' of course) and it's created and immediately disappears.
I've tried modifing the authorizations and allowing hidden files but it didn't help.

Where are you storing the file? If it is to one of your libraries then in Windows Explorer do Alt+V and select Refresh. If you mean notepad cannot find it then make sure you have the file type set to All Files (*.*) not just Text Document (*.txt)
