Hello,

Kind of a Windows rookie and not 100% tech savy.

I have a macbook pro and want windows 7 for parallels. do i want the 32 bit or 64 bit windows 7? I have a 2.2 ghz core 2 processor and 2 gb 667 mhz sdram.

Thanks much

I wouldn't run a x64 Windows guest with so little RAM available.

Thank you, after more searching that is what I was coming up with as well, I just didn't even know there were options when I first saw the 2 versions.

The "minimum" required for the X64 version of Windows 7 is 2 GB. It will run and be fine, just maybe a little sluggish is all.

IF it were me I would install the X64 version and then later add more RAM. Maybe Santa Claus will put a couple of sticks of RAM in your stocking.

He's talking about running Windows as a virtual machine guest. After the host system and Parallels, there isn't going to be enough RAM left to assign to the guest for it to run x64 comfortably.
