What is "C:\[User]\Searches"?

Is this one of those pseudo-directories, where deleting a
file will delete it from its *real* location?

If I delete the contents of this "directory", will all those
files be removed from other "directories" on my drive?

They aren't files, they're searches.

Well, they are files, but they just contain records of search criteria.
Sort of like playlists.
