Just had a whole heap of W7 x64 updates fail to load.

Downloaded OK but they have to be installed after reboot.

Anyone else having this problem?

Turned off the virus checker still no joy.

thanks

From time to time, yes. Usually, difficult cases involved running the
updates one by one, or in small groups to try and find the one(s)
causing the problem. Later on, if the troublesome update was locked out,
MS generally has a revised version of the update that solves the problem.

If not, then the user gets the fun of figuring out why, and so forth.
The last time this happened to me, some months ago, the root of the
problem was a combination of "Net", updates involving/using it, and
"Live" on one P/C.

Yes, I've learnt the hard way that any .NET update should be run on it's
own before adding other pending updates. It just seems to kick the others
out if you try to do them all at once...

Had that problem and it took some time to do the updates.

These updates were security updates. Have 3 pc's here plus a friends,
two of these have McAfee installed as a virus checker and the other two
MS security essentials.

The two with McAfee didn't like the updates even though it was turned
off, the other two no problem at all. Hence I hid the updates to solve
the problem.
