W7 RAID problem

Tried updating VistaUlt-32bit to W7Ult-32bit on a desktop PC with OS on
Raid 1; three attempts lasting hours (lots of programs and data) each time
failing and rolling back to Vista. Any ideas? Is there something I'm
missing?
