OK, I've searched and look and I can't find a solution...

W7 Professional ( 32 bit ) trying to connect to my NAS coolmax drive.

I see it , but I can't connect to it.

My other PC's ( Vista and XP ) can connect to it with no problem.

I keep getting a log on screen and it tells me it's a bad log on name or password.

How do I fix it? Anyone else get this?

Does your NAS normally need authentication to access it? If so, can you temporarily disable it so that you can see if it works with out?

Yes that worked, but previously to disabling the password on my NAS, I found another thread which said to click on RUN, "secpol.mcs".. or something like that. I also chanced the settings to both with negotiated..

not sure if that had anything to do with it also.

but my concern is , is this something hat is going to be fixed?

I like having a password on my NAS, and not having it kinda defeats the purpose...

On another note, I tried doing the run, secpol.mcs on my mom's pc ( w7 home, 64 BIT ) and he run commend would not take..? it worked on my W7 Pro, 32 bit...

is there a different command or other method?

I also came across a thread to delete the sign on assistant..
how do I go about reinstalling it, since it had nothing to do with it?

Thanks for your help!
