I have an HP laptop with Windows 7 and it came with HP MediaSmart Photo. I have another laptop with Windows 7 that does not have HP MediaSmart Photo and prefer the Windows 7 photo viewer to the media smart features that I won't use anyway.

How do I get my HP to allow me to view photos with the normal windows 7 photo viewer/program?

Thanks,

Dave

Go to Start ... Control Panel ... Programs (only seen if you use Category mode) ... Default Programs.

Pick Set your Default Programs

Select Windows Photo Viewer

Click Set this program as default

To add with this, although it's a little more advanced than using the program defaults. Is to set the default by file extension, which is also available in that area. You can set .png, .jpg, whatever to be viewed with any program of your choosing.
