How do I set all Views to List?

That's what I wanted too but... I brought up that issue recently and, I
believe, a solution was not found.

The Folder Options are in the control panel and have 3 headers: General,
View and Search. The View tab shows the boxes to be checked or not. I
didn't see any box that could be checked for setting the Small Icons,
Lists, Details, etc.

How do I set all Views to List?

Open an explorer window set it to "List" or any other view you want,
click the "Organise" button (or use "Tools" from the menu, if the menu
is hidden press "Alt" to make it appear)

Select "Folder Options" and then the "View" tab, press "Apply to Folders".

Note that this doesn't apply to *ALL* folders like XP, but to all
folders *OF THE SAME TYPE* so you can e.g. set different views for
documents folders and music folders ...

I believe I provided the solution in the other thread. On the View tab
that you mention above, look _above_ the checkboxes to the area that
allows you to set the view for all folders of this type to the current
view. So, obviously, what you'd do is adjust the view to how you like
it, then go into Tools, Folder Options, View, and check the box to
make all folders of this type like this one.

I like my folders to open in Details view, and by following the
procedure above it mostly works as expected. That's where "of this
type" comes into play, but just repeat the procedure when you find
another type of folder and soon all of your folders will be "nailed
down", as another poster put it.
