What is a "long time" Minutes? or Hours?
We used to have "rendering" programs that ran for several hours on then
fast, now slow systems.

For some reason, the link got mangled. Here it is again:
video+joiner&category_id=0>
Having fun?:)

TinyURL.com and similar URL shrinkers can help, although some people
don't like to follow a link that might hide something evil.

Disclaimer: just because your link was mangled[1] in my newsreader
doesn't mean it was mangled in other people's.

[1] Of course, I can easily work around the word-wrap-induced problem,
but I like to suggest the use of TinyURL.

No. I posted it mangled (finger trouble).

Normally, the '< ...... >CR' technique works fine (and, of course, it's
very easy to fix a broken link - provided it's only a couple of lines or
so). But yes, I really must try Tiny URL. However, here's an alternative
suggestion for a video joiner (which I think I used only last week):

I meant the corrected one, since it word-wrapped badly in my newsreader.

I was partly having fun at your expense, hoping it might amuse you too,
and partly making a suggestion I hoped would be moderately useful.

Indeed, some news readers are particularly intolerant of long URLs.

I've always been meaning to try TinyURL - so OK, you've goaded me into
doing it. How's this?

Two thumbs up - and thanks for the link, it's a site I will bookmark.

It is possible to put a link to TinyURL in the Bookmarks or toolbar in a
way that nicely automates the process, but I did it so long ago I can't
remember the details.

OK, I looked. Just click on the button "Make Toolbar Button" on the left
side of TinyURL's home page.
