Hello, new to the forum so hello to everyone....
I have the problem with my net book, as I have deleted my ex girl friend from it and her profile. I am left with a drive D, how do I delete drive D and therefore make my hard disc back up to 300 Gb. This old user account drive D is 150Gb so I could do with the space on my C drive.
Please help as its driving me mad
I have a Msi U270 320 Gb hard drive 8Gb ram
P.S.
Yes I only have a little knowledge of windows 7 ( noobie alert )

This will need to be done from Disk Management.

Type "format" in the Start Menu search box. You should see the option for "Create and format hard disk partitions". After you delete D:\, you should have an option to stretch C:\.

Accounts aren't stored on separate drives so what does her ID have to do with drive D: ?

Are you saying she had files on drive D: that you can't access? Download "Take Ownership" and you can give your account access, at which point you can delete them.

Now I know thank you

Thank you Clifford.

You were spot on carried your explanation to the letter and drive merged with C drive so all ok.
I had to merge it manually but all ok
I now have
12Gb healthy ( recovery partition )
100Mb healthy ( active recovery partition )
285.99 Gb ntfs healthy ( boot,page file,crash dump,primary partition )

When I go into computer I have 3 disks
Os_install ( c: )
Bios_r y ( w: )
Local disk ( Q: )

Does this look ok because I don't remember Q before ? And I don't have access to Q ?.
Thanks again for answering my post so quickly.

That looks fine. :) The 100MB partition is part of Windows for use with some of it features.
