SOLVED Used F3 recovery mode by accident

I have an HP laptop that a family member pressed F3 by accident then proceeded to hit a series of other keys to stop the recovery mode process. Now when we try to turn the laptop on we get a message that it doesn't recognize or find the Windows operating system.

Any words of advice?

Turn on laptop. On the first screen start pressing F2, this should restore the laptop to factory conditions. Just follow on screen prompts.

Note: you should see at the bottom left corner, tow options F2 and F11. Those options/screen doesn't last long.
