I'm still doing things the hard way, but I have an opportunity to upgrade from Word 2007 to Word 2010. The question is, which version do I need? I'm trying to concentrate on my writing, so efficient, basic word processing is my biggest need. I'm still doing some graphic work, c&p mostly, but I should be getting a layout editor soon. All my e-mails (gmail anyway, my web mails don't work in it) are via GMX. Will Outlook accept my web mails? Publisher looks pretty useless to me. I'm in the publishing business and don't need a lot of flyers or brochures.

So, Home & Office or Home & Business?

iamkenIT - I think you're confused here. There is no Starter version of MS Office. You were probably thinking of Windows 7 Starter OS.
There's a Starter edition of Office 2010, it replaced Works and contains gimped versions of Word and Excel, with ads.

Okay... maybe it's on OEM system builds, but it's not available as a retail purchase from MS. I haven't seen it either at Newegg.

Basically it a P.O.S anyway. A highly neutered version to say the least.
