Hello everyone,

I recently powered up an old laptop that had been stored away since 2011. It’s a small Acer laptop, often referred to as a “Netbook.” Since it’s running, I’d like to upgrade it as much as possible, but I’m not sure how to proceed.
The laptop is currently running Windows 7 Starter Edition. I was able to log onto my home network, but Internet Explorer bombarded me with security update messages. I want to avoid wasting time on outdated software.
My PC skills have improved since 2011, but I still need guidance on upgrading this old monster. I have an HP laptop running Windows 11 Home 23H2, which I can use to transfer files to the Windows 7 pc.
I’m part of the Windows Insider program and I want to create a boot disk, wipe the HDD, and start fresh. Any advice or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help!
